- Microsoft releases final Vista/iPod fix

Awhile ago we blogged about an issue some Vista users were encountering when ejecting their iPods. The long and the short of it is that the iPod would get corrupted after being ejected. Microsoft issued a patch, but it didn't fix the issue. Today comes news from the Windows Vista blog that a final patch has been released which should fix the problem once and for all. It is interesting to note that Apple and Microsoft worked together to fix this problem.
The patch is available on the web now, and will be available on Windows Update May 22nd.

Attention Microsoft Office 2004 users (and I know there are a few of you out there), our friends in Redmond have released Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac 11.3.5 Update. What's hidden in this update? Stability and security updates, including one that addresses a vulnerability which allows an attacker to overwrite the contents of your computer's memory.
Clearly, this update is recommended for all Microsoft Office 2004 users.

Over at UneasySilence, Dan has discovered something interesting. Someone has apparently leaked a screenshot that shows a moment in an Apple customer rep's day. The screen shot includes a multi-person support session via AIM, and a customer search interface. Lou Wheeler, the CSR whose desktop was posted no longer works for Apple. I contact Lou on AIM, where he told me "With the exception of some of the sales management, it was a great work environment." If you're interested in working for Apple, check out their jobs page.
