- Apple Store Holyoke, MA set to open

Massachusetts' seventh Apple store - and the first outside of greater Boston - will open on Saturday, July 21st in the Holyoke Mall at 10:00 AM. As usual, the first 1,000 visitors will receive commemorative T-shirts and a special opening day giveaway will feature very nice prizes. If you visit the store on opening weekend, please send us your stories and photos.

Yesterday, I took my iPhone hacking to the next level. After reading through these instructions at HackTheiPhone.com, I downloaded a copy of jailbreak and broke into the iPhone UNIX file system.

Looks like Justin Stengel of The Late Show with David Letterman picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue... since he was able to detect the acrid odor of his G4 power adapter scorching and sparking its way through the cord insulation. Whoops. The rather laconic response from the Genius Bar ("We've got those in stock, if you want to come buy a new one") is not going to win any points either, but it may lead to this:
