- iTweet: Yet another iPhone Twitter client

Here we go again: as if Pocket Tweets, Hahlo and Twitter's own m.twitter.com clients aren't enough, iTweet offers yet another option for quenching your Twitter lust. With a fairly different UI, iTweet's claim to fame is the ability to only download new tweets each time you refresh, saving a lot of time and bandwidth - especially useful for those tweeting over EDGE. It also has other features that I dare say are becoming a standard of mobile Twitter clients: the ability to view @replies to your tweets, direct messages and more.
In brief testing I did notice iTweet seems to run a bit faster than others, especially over EDGE, though Pocket Tweets still earns my usage and donation (scroll down for the Donate button) due to its top notch styling, ability to mark tweets as favorites and that all-too-increasingly-useful @ button for replying to someone's tweet.
Still, it's good to have options, and anyone obsessed with speed will likely enjoy the iTweet experience. For now, it appears iTweet is provided for free, as I can't find any kind of a donation button, so enjoy!

Reader Matthew kindly sent us a tip (thanks!) that the TV Shows section of iTunes is currently featuring a five page listing of free television episodes available for download. As you might expect, lots of it is junk-- apparently Scott Baio has another television show, and someone thought it was a good idea to call it "Scott Baio is 45... and Single," but there are some shows worth watching in there, including a BSG wrapup (hey, gotta watch something to hold us over), a few Gray's Anatomy shows, and the pilot of Jericho (those are all iTunes links).
So if you're looking for some free quality video (or just something to play on your iPhone for that trip you're about to head out on), looks like the iTunes store has it.
Update: Our commenters also point out that there's lots of good free TV hidden in iTunes' podcast section as well-- two episodes of Flight of the Conchords is much better than anything you'll see highlighted in the free section.Read | Permalink | Email this | CommentsКомментарии к сообщению:

Graphic Converter from Lemkesoft is an arguably under-appreciated photo editor and basic organizer for Mac OS X. Provided free on some (maybe all?) Macs that Apple ships, it is a quietly powerful app for performing a good number of photo editing and basic retouching, and it even includes a basic photo organizer á la iPhoto, Lightroom or Aperture. For even more features, Lemkesoft just released a new v6 of Graphic Converter, bringing a long list of new and updated features, including:
- a save for web option
- basic layer support
- 'go to photo position' in Google Earth
- rulers for measuring various aspects of images
- support for Microsoft's new free-to-use HD Photo image format that rivals JPG
- compatibility with the Leopard beta
- and a ton more
