Sometimes, observing the Apple universe is too easy. For instance, there's a rumor blazing through the internets right now that Apple might be introducing new iPods (possibly a multi-colored shuffles?) and displays tomorrow.

Is this a credible rumor? Let's look at the evidence:

    1. It's a Tuesday.
    2. That's all.

    Definitely credible.

Remember Ellen Feiss? She of the most famous Apple Switch ad campaign and the drug use rumors? Well, Macenstein has conducted the longest interview of all time with the quasi-celebrity, and she addresses her most infamous rumor head-on. It's a fun read.

We've read past interviews where you attribute your slightly dazed look and red eyes to a late night shooting and your allergy medicine. That all seems perfectly plausible. However, you are now in college… Ever tried marijuana?

Ellen: I was not high during the ad. But I have smoked weed. Is that really surprising? You just had to ask.

Sometimes I feel like the world's biggest nerd. And then another Mac cultist steps in to prove me wrong -- usually with a wedding proposal. Last year, James proposed to Uschi using the time-lapse camera at the Fifth Avenue Apple Store. And now Bjorn has proposed to Jenny with a custom Dashboard widget.

Read that again. This isn't a joke. I mean, he had to build it in DashCode! Wow.

So I got on his computer and there's a picture of him and me from last year. He then tells me to press F12 like a true Computer science major, and up pops a picture of the ring he'd bought for me, and a little proposal (you can see below). He then got on his knees and confessed his true love for me. After some convincing, I said yes ;)

I love you, Mac kids. Don't ever change.

Apple's "Get a Mac" ad campaign is officially an international phenomenon -- and I still can't decide whether I think the spots or not. Newest to the club, joining their American and Japanese Mac and PC brethren, are a set of ads aimed at the British market. And I actually love the actors.

Don't look for new jokes -- these are virtually identical to the first three Apple put out nearly a year ago stateside. On the extreme plus side -- and I do mean extreme -- the actors involved are David Mitchell and Robert Webb of "That Mitchell and Webb Look" and "Peep Show." The latter is the most uncomfortable sitcom ever filmed. It's shot entirely head-on, so you always feel like a willing participant in their awfulness. T

he former is an OK sketch show that did have a totally brilliant bit with two TV writers unwilling to do any research. In a pivotal scene of their medical drama, Webb screams, "THIS MAN NEEDS MORE...MEDICINE!"

Well. It's a definite upgrade over Justin Long, I'll say that.
