This is a big day here at Wired News. I'm proud to announce that 'Steve Jobs' is now working for us.
That's Fake Steve Jobs, of course. He invented the friggin' iPod. Have you heard of it?
Wired News is sponsoring the Fake Steve weblog. Steve likes everything he does to turn a profit, and lawyers' fees were dragging the blog into the red. But thanks to our generous, multi million-dollar sponsorship, the Fake Steve blog won't be shutting down any time soon.
Some other websites were chasing him too. We won't mention any names -- *cough*Gawker*cough* -- but Steve said they were "frigtards" -- he likes Wired News best.
We're also bringing Steve on as a "special adviser" -- kinda like when Apple bought NeXT and Steve became an adviser to the CEO, Gil Amelio.
We're looking forward to lots of insanely great feedback about the home page. Steve's already talking about an all white homepage, text and all. Very minimalist.
Of course, some people around here are a bit nervous about bringing Steve on. Remember what happened when Apple bought Steve, and he ended up running the place? There's talk about joining a union -- bozos!
